Demo Bikes
At Tweed Valley Bikes we’re lucky enough to work with some fantastic brands who all produce some amazingly capable bikes. However we realise sometimes word of mouth isn’t enough, so we’ve gathered a few of our favourite bikes to offer on demo year round.
The bikes we’ve chosen are some of our most popular bikes in common sizes. However, if you don’t see the bike you want to try here, just get in touch and we will do our best to arrange a demo on your behalf of any bike from our brands.
Being at the heart of the Tweed Valley’s vast trail network, we’re in the ideal place for you to get a thorough understanding of how a new bike fits and feels on trail. If you’re looking for some extra support with the bike set up on the hill, we can even join you for the ride and make tweaks to your setup as the day goes on.

How does it work?
On the day of the demo it’s best to come early to get the most out of the day. Then, before you head out, one of our team will set you up on the bike, set up your suspension and even give you some trail recommendations to bring the bike alive. If that’s not enough and you’d like one of us to join you on the trail to help tweak your setup as the day goes on, or even show you around the incredible trail network, that’s all possible too - just enquire at your time of booking.
If you have a preference of pedals, feel free to bring these along and we can fit them up for you, otherwise we have some demo flat pedals we can lend you.
What does it cost?
There is a charge of £95 for each standard demo bike, and £120 for e-bike demo, but if you decide to buy a bike from us, that fee will be deducted from the final price. NB: Guiding incurs an additional charge, enquire for details.
How long do I have the bike for?
Demo bikes are available from 9am to 4pm each day.
What should I bring for my demo ride?
Aside from the usual helmet, riding kit, snacks and water, not too much. You’ll need a form of photo ID (Drivers License or Passport) and a credit or Debit card in your name which we will keep safe in the shop while you ride the bike.
How do I book my demo?
You can book our demo bikes using our online booking system.
