Originally a CX race bike, the new Hakka MX has been re-designed from the ground up and now stands as a fast, modern gravel bike, capable of everything from bike packing missions, to out and out gravel racing, or simply hacking around the lanes and backroads when the road bike is safely at home in the garage.
With a lengthened wheelbase but not overly slack head angle, the Hakka gives enough stability for confident off road riding without the slow handling of some of the more extreme gravel designs. 40mm tires add chatter smoothing comfort and a sub 1kg frame weight with a wide range 11-42T cassette scampers up climbs with a minimum of effort.
For even rougher rides, the bike is compatible with 650b wheelsets allowing even larger tire volumes, while double bottle and fender mounts add even further to its versatility. Add to that a threaded BB and lifetime warranty and you've got a fast bike that will be with you for the long haul.

From Riding to Retail
Our business began as Dirt School in 2006, a mountain bike coaching company set up to deliver the best learning and support a mountain biker could ever want. From World championship wins to the award winning BASE college course, we've experienced and forged it all. Our evolution led to the formation of Tweed Valley Guides and now Tweed Valley Bikes too, allowing us to help you buy the right equipment, and be able to ride with you on the best trails and help you learn how to get the most out of it. Our shop has genuinely grown from the trail.
